BARAMULLA, Oct 2: Minister for R&B, Gardens, Parks and Floriculture, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari reviewed the developmental scenario of district Baramulla at a high level meeting here today.
MLA Baramulla Javeed Hassan Beigh, MLA Rafiabad Yawar Dilawar Mir, District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal, ADC, JDP, SE R&B, Members of Traders Federation and Beopar Mandal Baramulla and Civil Society members were present at the meeting.
Traders Federation, Beopar Mandal and the Civil Society members raised various issues including installation of street lights, macadamisation and repair of roads and lanes during the meeting.
Responding to the issues raised by the locals, the Minister announced Rs 50 lakh for the construction of bridge in Old Town Baramulla. He also ordered expediting work on Jetty Bridge to ease out traffic congestion in Baramulla town.
The Minister also directed R&B Department to start repair work of dilapidated roads in Baramulla immediately.
The Minister also directed the concerned officers to complete all the ongoing development projects in Baramulla immediately and assured adequate funding for the same.
