JAMMU : Several mines exploded along the Line of Control as fire from across the border engulfed the forest area in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Forest fire from across the border last night spread 100 meters inside our territory manned by Punjab regiment,” official sources here today said.
They said the fire was so devastating that several mines exploded in Phagwari area of Mendhar tehsil close to the LoC.
“No loss to life or major damage to any property was reported so far,” sources added. (UNI)
