He drew inspiration from prominent Dogri writers like Dinoo Bhai Pant, Tara Smallpuri , Mohan Lal Sapolia and Padam Dev Singh and started his poetic journey. Rakesh Sharma ‘Tript’ is associated as a member with Adbi Kunj, Duggar Manch and Nami Dogri Sanstha and is still engaged in literary activities in addition to his other engagements. He is reputed to have been felicitated by Rashtriya Kavi Sangam , Delhi ;Samooh Theatre, Jammu and Ravidass Sabha Rajpura. He is working on yet another compilation of Dogri poetry.
