SRINAGAR, Oct 3: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Chowdhary Lal Singh accompanied by Minister for R&B, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today inaugurated various healthcare facilities at B&J Hospital Barzulla.
The Ministers inaugurated CT scan and Digital Radiography system which were long standing demands in the hospital. They also inaugurated drug store X-Ray & MRI unit run under public-private partnership and hoped all these facilities would help the patient care system in the hospital and patients will not need to go to other city hospitals for these necessary diagnoses facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Chowdhary Lal Singh said that Government is much keen for providing better patient care services in the State and in this regard various patient care measures are under way so that patients are provided adequate and quality treatment in the Valley hospitals.
He called for collective efforts for strengthening all health institutions to ensure quality health care services to the patients. He also enjoined upon doctors and paramedical staff to work with human service and maintain the sanctity of this noble profession.
Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said that main aim of present dispensation is to fulfill public demands and to provide better facilities. He said Government has prioritized health sector and all steps would be taken for making it better.
He said R&B Department will take measures for upgradation of roads leading to health institutions on priority.
Responding to the demands put forth by the hospital administration, the Ministers assured them that all demands would be met on priority so that patients do not face any difficulty for want of treatment.
Principal GMC and Director Health Services Kashmir, Heads of various Departments, Medical and paramedical staff were present on the occasion.
