JAMMU, Oct 5: Five-day civil defence training programme began today at NSK Higher Secondary School, Nagbani, in city outskirts.
The programme was organized by Dr Rajinder Thappa, Deputy Divisional Warden and Balbir Singh Jaswal, owner of the school and inaugurated by Tejinder Kour, Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, Jammu.
During the course of programme about 50 students of the school will be trained in first aid treatment in cases of any natural or man mad disaster particularly border firing, fire, bomb blasts, earthquake, floods, etc.
Paramjeet Kumar, chief warden, Parshotam and Rajinder, instructors of Civil Defence, vice-principal of the school, Saloni and school incharge, Amit Sharma was present during the inauguration ceremony.
