Srinagar, Oct 5: Stud-ents of Degree College Anantnag today protested against the Kashmir University (KU) authorities, demanding their examination in March next year.
Scores of final year students of Anantnag College boycotted their classes and came out on main highway. Amid slogans, the students said that they were earlier told by KU authorities that their examination would be conducted in March 2015.
“However, now we are being told that the exams would be held in November this year. This is gross injustice with us as it has been only 5 month since we began our academic session,” they said. Due to last year’s floods, the academic session in Valley began late as compared to routine calendar.
The students blocked the highway for more than an hour and asked the KU authorities to relook into the matter.
