‘FWO Health Camp’ concludes at Military Hospital

JAMMU, Aug 25: Two day long “FWO Health Camp” on the occasion of Family Welfare Organisation (FWO) Day, at Military Hospital, Akhnoor concluded today.
The camp was organised for the families of Crossed Swords Division under the guidance of Kiran Hira, Chairperson, FWO of Crossed Swords Division.
The Health camp was organised with an aim to providing basic healthcare and a preventive check-up to all the families of the Garrison and to carry out screening for Cancer, Anaemia, Osteoporosis, Respiratory Disorders and other common ailments, prevalent in different age groups.
Laboratory facilities were also provided for on-the-spot Haemoglobin estimation, Blood Sugar tests and Urine examination.  Besides this, ECG, Bone Density Scans and Spirometry tests were also undertaken.
The consultation facility of various specialists, vis-à-vis Medical, Surgery, Eye, ENT, Gynaecologist and Dental Surgeon were also made available during the camp in order to provide a comprehensive health check-up.
During the camp, more than 750 families of the formation availed various healthcare facilities provided during the camp, including free medicines, as prescribed by the respective specialists.
