Ajatshatru demands chopper service for patients of remote areas

Srinagar, Oct 6: As many as 13 members raised the issues of public importance in the Legislative Council during Zero Hour here today.
Vibodh Gupta demanded early release of selection list of physical teachers and other selection lists for the posts in various departments for which interviews have already been conducted by SSRB in Rajouri district. He also urged for regularization of PHE daily wagers who are observing hunger strike.
Surinder Kumar Choudhary  projected the issue of shortage of potable water in Nowshera and other adjoining hilly areas of district Rajouri due to lack of adequate staff in PHE Department.
Ajatshatru Singh demanded Critical Care Ambulances and Helicopters in far flung areas for immediate lifting of patients who require quick treatments. He also demanded strict check on overloading of vehicles and fitness test after every five years.
Surinder Ambardar pitched for grant of RBA status for Kashmir migrants.
Firdous Tak raised the issue of shortage of ration in snow-bound areas of Kishtwar besides demanding early dispatch of winter quota to these areas.
Romesh Arora demanded hi-tech instruments and well equipped lab facilities in all hospitals of Jammu district. He also sought Government’s intervention in the issue of less supply of ration quota for Jammu as compared to other districts
Sofi Yousuf stressed the need for expeditious execution of National Highway road project especially from Srinagar to Pantha Chowk patch to overcome traffic congestion. He also urged for enhancement of remuneration for SPOs.
Ashok Khajuria pitched for speedy work on smart cities programme in Jammu.
Charanjeet Singh batted for appointment of teachers for Punjabi subject in schools.
Vikramaditya Singh and Surinder Choudhary demanded formulation of settlement policy for migrants of all areas which lack residential facilities.
Zaffar Iqbal Manhas highlighted the issue of delay in granting Pahari status to the people of the Pahari community.
Yasir Reshi demanded time bound probe into alleged fake appointments issued in different departments.
Saif -ud-Din Bhat called for constitution of a committee for identification of fake registration certificates issued to Kashmiri migrants.
