SRINAGAR, Oct 6: Army today paid a befitting tribute with full military honours to the martyred soldiers Gunner Surendra, Sepoy  Surinder Singh, Lance Naik Botta Satyam and Lance Naik Gurdev Singh who had laid down their lives while fighting the terrorists in Rajwar of Kupwara District yesterday.
The valour and sacrifice of the Late soldiers was paid tribute in a solemn ceremony held at Badami Bagh Cantonment.
Late Gunner Surendra, Sepoy Surinder Singh, Lance Naik Botta Satyam and Lance Naik Gurdev Singh were members of the Army team that launched an operation yesterday in Haphruda forest of Rajwar in Kupwara District, in which they approached the suspected area where the terrorists were reportedly hiding and they came under a heavy volume of fire.
Lt Gen Satish Dua, GOC, 15 Corps paid homage to the martyrs by laying a wreath on behalf of all ranks of the Chinar Corps.  Floral tributes were also paid on behalf of the Army Commander, Northern Command.
