KATHUA, Oct 6: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar today asked the revenue department to go tough against the encroachers of State land.
Speaking at a meeting convened to review the functioning of the department, he asked the functionaries to show zero tolerance against the encroachers and adopt all means to vacate the encroached State land.
ACR Kathua Atul Gupta, SDM’s Billawar, Bani, Hiranagar, tehsildars and officials of Revenue Department attended the meeting.
The DC asked the tehsildars to submit the Kharaba list of their respective tehsils. The DC also reviewed the implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act(PSGA) and asked the officials to be responsive to the public issues.
The progress on Jamabandi and disposal of RTI Act applications were also reviewed during the meeting. The tehsildars were directed to make duty roaster of the patwaris and notify the days on which they will remain on field duty for the convenience of the public.
The Deputy Commissioner passed directions to the SDMs to hold meeting of the revenue officials every month to review the progress, functioning of the department.
The directions were passed to the tehsildars to inspect schools PHCs and dispensaries to check attendance. He asked them to ensure that people get medicare facilities without any problem.
In view of Navratras, directions were passed to tehsildars to conduct market inspections to keep a check on prices, cleanliness and encroachment along the roads.
He asked the tehsildars to report the dengue cases to the concerned authority timely and conduct fogging in Ramlila grounds and around the temples and shrines. Directions were further passed to tehsildars for early issuance of income certificates to the eligible persons for availing flagship schemes like Ladli Beti and Aasra.
