BJP encourages open sale of beef in J&K: Cong

JAMMU, Oct 7:  Senior Congress leaders and Ex- MLAs Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney and   Faqir Nath  have alleged that  after all BJP and RSS succeeded in their hidden agenda to remove all the legal hurdles for open sale of beef in the J&K State after more than eighty years of  ban imposed by the then Maharaja of  Duggar  State.
In a joint press statement here today, the Ex-MLAs  said that they were  surprised to listen about the contribution made by  Saffron Party  in getting the stay on the   High Court of J&K order of beef  ban in the J&K .  BJP and RSS  created a history by tactfully and smartly managing this stay order and  the people of country as well as the Duggar Pradesh will not forget them for this great contribution, they added.
The Congress leaders further said  that there was a ban imposed on ” cow slaughter” by the Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir   under Section 298 A,B,C and D of “Ranbir Penal Code” in 1932 but after  eight  decades BJP succeeded  to  allow the open sale of  beef  in this State.
They said the BJP crossed all limits to remain in power and shattered the religious faith of the  peoples in the J&K State as well as the whole country. They further said that the political motives of Jammu was already sold by BJP  to PDP and now religious faith of peoples kept on stake by managing this stay order. They also questioned BJP leadership for its role in denying  AIIMS and Smart City to Jammu.
