J&K Bank donates ambulance, commissions ATM

SRINAGAR, Oct 8: Under Corporate Social Responsibility, J&K Bank today donated an ambulance to the Health Center in Sheri Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Kashmir.
The bank’s Executive President Abdul Rauf handed over the keys of the ambulance to the Vice-Chancellor SKUAST Dr Teg Pratap in presence of senior faculty of the university and few officers of the bank.
Notably, the health center serves not only the hundreds of hostel inmates and staff of the university but caters basic health services to the people of the adjacent areas as well.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Rauf said, “The purpose of providing this ambulance to the center is to make basic health services accessible and effective for both the university and people living in its vicinity.”
Dr. Teg Pratap, vice-chancellor SKUAST appreciated the bank’s gesture of concern and compassion.
Meanwhile, leveraging technology to provide quality service to its customers at their closest possible locations, J&K Bank commissioned ATM at Mehind in Srigufwara Anantnag.
Zonal Head Kashmir South-II, Fayaz Ahmad Siddiqui inaugurated the state-of-the-art teller machine in presence of customers and senior citizens besides Head B.U Khurshid Ahmad Gattoo; taking the total count of ATMs in the zone to 135.
Speaking on the occasion Zonal Head said, “These machines are commissioned to provide swift and better services to the customers, reduce their foot fall at business units thereby enhancing quality of customer service.”
Zonal Head also urged the audience to avail various schemes and facilities tailored by the bank for economic upliftment of the people of State.
People of the area appreciated the role of the bank in giving a fillip to the local economies.
