NEW DELHI:The death toll of Indian pilgrims in the Haj stampede rose to 101 today with Saudi authorities announcing more casualties even as scores of people were still missing after the worst tragedy in 25 years to hit the annual pilgrimage.
”Saudi authorities have identified more pilgrims who died in Haj stampede. The toll of Indian pilgrims is now 101. We have 32 missing,” External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said in a tweet.
Scores of people from several nationalities are missing since the stampede at the holy city of Mecca on September 24. (AGENCIES)
