JAMMU, Oct 10: The members of Shree Maha Ganesh Asthapan Committee, (SMGAC) Villagam (Kupwara) has urged the State Administration to retrieve the land to Mandir from the clutches of CAPD Department.
In a monthly meeting held, here today Mohan Lal Bhat, president, Shree Maha Ganesh Asthapan Committee, Villagam (Kupwara) said that after the exodus of minority community, the CAPD Department illegally constructed a hall measuring 40 feet into 30 feet and termed it as illegal step which is shocking and of great concern and has caused distrust among minority community.
The committee members have approached concern department many times but nothing has been done so far.
The Committee has also sought the immediate intervention of Minister CAPD and urged him to restore the temple land to the Committee.
