JAMMU, Oct 13: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) highlighting encroachment of forest land by the Transport Minister, A G Kohli, Division Bench of the High Court today directed the petitioner to file response, if any, to the status report filed by the State Vigilance Organization within two weeks.
The direction was passed by the DB after hearing petitioner Ankur Sharma in person, AAG PC Sharma appearing for the VOJ and Advocate AH Bhat appearing for the GAD.
In terms of DB’s earlier order, the SVO has filed status report establishing that Transport Minister’s educational complex has been constructed on the forest land.
