Forest Officers demand removal of pay anomalies

JAMMU, Oct 13: All J&K Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association has urged the Government to remove pay anomalies and provide them risk allowance.
In a meeting of the Association held here today,  under the chairmanship of Ravi Kumar, provincial president,  the members unanimously decided to stage one day protest demonstration in support of their demands at Dogra Hall Forest Complex on October 17. They demanded removal of pay anomalies, provision of risk allowance and two and half days additional pay to the field staff.
The Association also demanded up-gradation of  135 posts of Range Officers Grade-II, promotional avenues for field as well as ministerial staff, clearance of all pending SRO 43 cases and regularisation of all the daily rated workers engaged prior to ban.
Ravi Kumar while speaking in the meeting cautioned the Government to address the pending issues of the NGFOA otherwise the Association will be forced to adopt agitational path. He also appealed all the Non-Gazetted officers/ employees to join hands to make protest a grand success.
