SRINAGAR, Oct 13: Government has reconstituted Jammu and Kashmir State Consumer Protection Council (SCPC).
According to a notification issued by the Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution Department, Minister for CA&PD and Tribal Affairs, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali will be the Chairman of the new Consumer Council with Secretary to Government, CA&PD Department, Saurabh Bhagat as its Member Secretary.
The members of the Council include, Javaid Hassan Beigh (MLA), Javaid Mirchal (MLC), Vikramaditya Singh (MLC), Karpal Dev Sharma (President, Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat), Om Khajuria (Ex-Corporator), Manish Gupta, D R Danish (President, Consumer Protection Organization), Vikram Gour (President, Consumer Welfare Organization Jammu), Manzoor Hussain Shah (Advocate), Mushtaq Ahmad Daryal (President Jamia Masjid Traders Association), Shanti Devi (Ex-MLA), Seema Shekhar Khajuria (Advocate), Sheikh Ashiq (Ex-President KCCI), Yashpal Gupta (President Retailers Association Jammu), Rakesh Gupta (President Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu), Bashir Ahmad Mir (Kangan), Nazir Ahmad Yatoo (Chrar-e-Sharief), Bharat Kumar (Channi Jammu).
