KATHUA, Oct 13: Block Congress Committee members and party workers from Bani area raised the local issues during the meeting held at Bani town today.
The meeting in this connection was held under the leadership of co-treasurer of PCC, Rajneesh Sharma in which the local leaders and Sarpanchs/ Panchs raised the issues and problems being faced by the people of Bani area. The Congress activists projected the problems like road connectivity, poor ration supply and specially the price hike of essential and other commodities including fruits, vegetables, pulses etc.
Speaking on the occasion Thakar Das, Congress Block president for Bani told the workers that the rates of vegetables, pulses and other eatable items are touching the sky and it is beyond the reach of poor people of Bani area.
Rajnesh Sharma (Mian) addressing workers said that BJP is a party of businessmen. It has happened always in the past that during this rule the prices of eatable go up to sky as they have no control over the rising prices. They were not able to control the prices and everything is going out of reach of the common man.
Mr Sharma further said that the main agenda of the BJP is to play with the religious sentiments of the people to remain in power. He assured the people of the area every possible support and service.
