ReT teachers hold monthly meeting

JAMMU, Aug 26: All J&K ReT Teachers Forum today urged the Chief Minister for early redressal to their demands, so as to raise the literacy rate of the State.
A monthly meeting of the forum was held under the chairmanship of its provincial president Rajesh Singh Jamwal and senior vice president Younis Rahi at Exhibition Ground, in which ReT and EV teachers from all the zones participated.
While speaking, Rajesh Singh Jamwal demanded regularization of EVs as general line teachers, who have completed their seven years since March 2010, inclusion of 5 years rendered service of ReTs for seniority benefits, implementation of Government Order No. 115 dated 29-2-2008 for old pension scheme in favour of ReTs engaged before 1-1-2010, implementation of Government Order for enhancement of wages of ReTs as announced in the Assembly session, transfer policy in favour of regularized ReT teachers and provision of SRO 43 in favour of ReTs and EVs.
Younis Rahi, said that the Government has turned deaf ear to their demands, compelling them to adopt  path of agitation.
Among others present were Rishi Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Subash Chander, Jyoti Parkash, Surjeet Singh, Ravinder Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Inderjeet, etc.
