Shreya stands first in Bhajan competition

JAMMU, Oct 16: On the third day of Bhajan and Bhait competition organized here at Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Shreya Gandral stood first while second and third prizes went to Akash Sangral and Parnav Gupta, respectively.
The competition is being organized as a part of Navratra Festival by the Management Trust of the temple.
Fifteen artists of different age group from tiny tot to middle aged house wife enthusiastically participated in the competition on the third day, today.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh, was the chief guest while Director, Radio Kashmir Jammu, VK Samyal, who was the special invitee, were honored on the occasion by president of the Trust, Th Gulchain Singh Charak, by presenting ‘Mata di Chunia’.
The contest opened with Ganesh Vandhna. Noted artist, Jeevan Sharma, adjudged the competition. The sparkling “Shiva Tandava” dance was the grand finale of the 2-hour long special religious evening.
The chief guest along with other guests distributed awards among the winners and mementoes to participants.
