ANANTNAG, Oct 17:  Pradesh Congress Committee president and former Minister G A Mir has claimed that  Congress Party would emerge as number one in Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh elections.
Addressing large gathering of  Youth Congress at Khannabal in district Anantnag today,  Mir  eulogized  Youth Congress for organizing `Yuva Akrosh’ rally against the  anti- youth  and wrong policies of Coalition Govt in the State.
The rally has already started from Jammu province, here it will start from South Kashmir on 21st of this month and will end in Ladakh region.
Appreciating PYC  leaders for  launching a vigorous campaign against the anti- youth and wrong policies of Coalition Govt,  PCC chief  stated that the Coalition  Govt has brought miseries for the people and is ignorant  of the issues concerning people.
There is a complete uncertainty in the State due to inherent contradiction in the approach of PDP- BJP towards the State and people, which has sent wrong signals in the regions, he said.
Issuing appeal to youth of Kashmir to participate in the `Yuva Akrosh’ rally organized by Youth Congress in larger numbers, PCC chief felt confident that greater   participation of  youth in this rally would be a right thing to agitate and demonstrate the anger in a democratic way, against the wrong policies of this Government.
PCC president  said that Congress party would continue to perform its role as a constructive opposition in the State and won’t remain silent spectator to the miseries and problems people are facing. He said Congress party is highly concerned about the multiple issues concerning people, particularly, deprived and down trodden sections of society.
Mr Mir  expressed confidence that Congress being strong enough will emerge as number one in the Leh Hill Council elections. He said Congress Party has delivered and would continue to do so for strengthening the people in all the three regions, because Congress Party is not only a strong force, but a vital instrument of service to the people of State and the Country.
