JAMMU, Oct 17: A three-day Recruitment Skills Workshop for the students of MBA: International Business (MBA-IB), organized by International Centre for Cross-Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), concluded at University of Jammu today.
The workshop was in association with Gurgaon based MindBridge Asia. Manjot K. S. Gill, Director and Chief Mentor, MindBridge Asia, and organizational development consultant having  extensive experience of training professionals in large national and multinational organizations, conducted the sessions.  The objective of the training sessions has been to unleash the latent potential of the participants.
The workshop was titled as “Developing Recruitment Skills for Corporate.”  It addressed elements of what organizations look for when they conduct campus interviews. The students were provided with in-depth knowledge about handling the personal interviews and Group Discussions, keeping in view the expectations of the interview board. They were taken through mock interviews and mock group discussions to have a first-hand experience of the actual scenario. In addition, to this they were enabled to create the right kind of Resumes which help them in creating a powerful impression on the interviews.
Further, during the three days workshop, Manjot Gill trained the students with several aspects of recruitment skills, coupled with the appropriate preparation for the contemporary business environment. The trainer adopted the Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) technique, that involves the development of behavioral competence and places emphasis on strategic thinking. He also addressed the significance of ‘Circle of Excellence’ as well as meditation to be the key components for a successful, flexible and competent manager who is capable of addressing the complexities of the business arena.
Earlier Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, Director International Centre for Cross-Cultural Research and Human Resource Management, deliberated upon  the purpose to having such like workshops at the International Centre so as to spur the students to think and focus on creating synergy for accelerating the process of self growth for availing the market opportunities that lie ahead.  She highlighted the relevance of recruitment  skills for ensuring placements of Management students.
Dr. Pallvi Arora, Isha Sharma, Dr. Amrinder Singh, Dr. Ridhi Sharma, Dr. Shafqat Ajaz, Dr. Dalip Raina, faculty members at ICccR & HRM coordinated the event.
