JAMMU, Oct 17: NHPC Regional Office, Jammu was conferred first prize for implementing and promoting Rajbhasha during the year 2014-15 for Northern Region-I.
The Rajbhasha Shield was received by Om Prakash, Executive Director, NHPC Regional Office, Jammu from Governor of Punjab and Haryana, Prof Kaptan Singh Solani in the presence of Girish Shanker, Secretary, Department of Official Languages, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in a function held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab.
Harishankar, Manager, Rajbhasha, who supervised the implementation of Rajbhasha received the ‘Commendation Letter’.
These prizes are awarded every year as a policy matter by Ministry of Home (Department of OL) to the Government of India Offices, PSUs, banks etc, for promotion and implementation of Rajbhasha.
