Water wastage

Sir,
Water is still considered by most of us as in abundance and expendable to waste . Also most of us might be thinking that the water comes from the pipes laid  by the PHE Department and why should not it be wasted. There are numerous examples of its wastage and if half of that could be plugged, perhaps all in Jammu could  get enough water for use. It is shocking to see about one place in Jammu , for illustration,  how this most valuable life giver nature’s  boon is mercilessly wasted. Court complex at Janipur on the rear of Police guard posted, two big water tanks meant for the court staff and public get overflowed in the morning and water in good gushing is wasted in the drain right from 5 am to 8 am and colossal wastage from these tanks could fill in more than 4 to 6 water PHE tanks and could feed at least two colonies daily. A simple expenditure of not more than two hundred rupees could solve the problem by fitting in a knob between the supply and the receiving points and as and when the tanks are full, which they normally are within half an hour , they could be turned off. Could the court authorities and the PHE officials now stop this huge loss of water?
Yours etc….
