AIBCU reiterates 27 percent reservation demand

JAMMU, Oct 19: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) has urged the BJP to keep its promises made with OBCs during the elections last year as the people belonging to this category voted enmass.
In a meeting here today the meeting while discussing the yesterday’s meeting of Social Welfare and Forest Minister Bali Bhagat with Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on the issue of reservations said Mr.  Bhagat must upkeep the promises made in the elections and respect the OBC high vote turn out in elections which enabled BJP to be in Governance. Only to tackle the issue erupted after High Court order will not suffice unless and until right of 27% reservation for majority State population called OBCs are not granted. It was discussed in the meeting which was held under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Majid Malik.
The meeting expressed concern over the failure of the State Government for not enhancing the creaming layer from 4.5 lakh six lakh which the Central Government has enhanced about three years back.  It also took Government to task for not issuing the circular for renewal of OSC Certificate on the basis of income certificate instead of fresh certificate and making the only one certificate on the name of OBC certificate instead of OSC certificate as mandatory.
It warned that neglecting OBCs by the Government will reduce the ruling parties to invisible physique. It was only OBCs who voted for their rights with full faith.
