JAMMU, Oct 20: Government Employees & Workers Joint Action Committee (EWJAC) has urged upon the State Government to release 6 % DA and remove pay anomalies of the clerical cadre.
In a meeting of the JAC held here under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik, the members discussed the pending issues of the Government employees. They demanded that 6 % DA due from July 2015 be released before Diwali in view of price hike of all the commodities, remove pay anomalies of the clerical cadre, enhance Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month, regularize all the daily rated/ temporary workers and ensure merger of 50 % DA into the basic pay.
Meanwhile, Clerical Staff Association of all the departments in a meeting held under the leadership of Ravi Singh Bhau, Sukhbir Singh, Bashir Malik, Ravinder Singh Yash Paul Sharma and others, has urged upon the Government to remove pay anomalies of the cadre. They alleged that despite submitting report by the Pay Anomaly Committee the Government has maintained criminal silence over the issue. They appealed the clerical cadre to observe one day pen down strike on October 27 in support of their demand.
