Srinagar : A militant was reportedly killed while three security personnel were injured in a fierce encounter in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources said here today. They said security forces and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation at Kunzar area in Baramulla district today following a tip-off about the presence of militants. However, when the security forces were sealing the area, militants attacked them with automatic weapons, that the fire was returned ensuing an encounter, they added. Details are awaited. (Agencies)
