SRINAGAR, Aug 27: “One week short term course on Research Methodology in Sciences for Research Scholars” organised by Academic Staff College of University of Kashmir commenced today.
While speaking, Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir Prof Talat Ahmad has called for making short term courses on research methodology mandatory for all research scholars.
Prof Talat said that participation of every research scholar from all faculties in such short term courses on research methodology becomes mandatory in the University”.
He said that even such short-term courses on research methodology could be arranged for the guides and faculty members who supervise the research of these MPhil and PhD scholars.
On the occasion Director Academic Staff College (ASC) Prof Farooq Fayaz said that during the one-week course some reputed academicians and researchers are visiting the Academic Staff College as resource persons.
He said that 40 research scholars from different faculties and institutions have been selected for this one-week course and those who were not able to make it to this course will be given a chance in the next short term course.
Speaking on the occasion Prof Aqueel Ahmad, course coordinator, said that they not only train young scholars in research methodology through such workshops but also generate a good revenue which can be then invested for the up-gradation of facilities and infrastructure so as to make the Academic Staff College more equipped and advanced.
