JAMMU, Oct 22: In order to facilitate the Kashmiri migrants timely handing over of ration coupons , the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Migrants R K Pandita today issued directives to all Zonal officers and Camp Commandants to issue these coupons to any other member of the family in case the head of the family was not available to receive the same.
Mr Pandita said that the step was taken so that there was not any delay in receiving the monthly ration by the migrants or lapse of ration due to the non availability of the head of the families who remain pre-occupied with other family problems.
The Relief Commissioner said that any member of the family whose name figures in ration card can obtain the coupon from the zonal office. He said various steps have been taken for the timely release off ration and cash relief to the migrants.
