JKP making all efforts to provide promotional avenues to its personnel : DGP

SRINAGAR, Oct 23: Director General of Police (DGP), K Rajendra has said that the Jammu and Kashmir Police Organization has been making all out efforts to provide promotional avenues to its personnel in all ranks.
He said that all relevant records have been updated at different levels to ensure quick implementation of recommendations of different Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) for timely promotion of the cops.
Rajendra was chairing Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) at Police Headquarters here today.
He disclosed that during the meeting, as many as 209 Assistant Sub-Inspectors have been cleared for their promotion as Sub Inspectors and 12 officers of different ranks have been granted grade promotions which include 10 Inspectors, 1 DySP and 1 Sub-Inspector.
Rajendra said that PHQ has already conveyed to the subordinate offices to ensure timely meetings of Departmental Promotion Committees to clear the promotions of different ranks within their respective jurisdictions.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Danesh Rana ordered promotion of 94 Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs) to the rank of Sub-Inspectors (SIs).
IGP, Jammu Zone has made an appeal to all such promotees to work with more dedication, devotion and also maintain highest standards of integrity and professionalism so as to make the organization proud.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Range, Syed Javid Mujtaba Gilani today issued the promotion order of 97 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) to the rank of Sub-Inspectors (SIs). He exhorted them to work with more dedication and devotion.
