Tak for inculcating spirit of harmony, tolerance among students

KISHTWAR, Oct 23: Unde-rlying the need to strengthen  harmony and brotherhood among various sections of society ,MLC Firdous Tak, today said that India’s strength lies in its diversity which must be preserved at all cost.
Addressing a gathering of students and their parents at the inaugural function of annual day of the premier educational institution, Adarsh Balnikatan Kishtwar, the legislator said that the teachings of harmony,unity, the cultural diversity and pluralistic  characteristic of the country has to start from the schools to inculcate the real spirit among the students .
He said that teaching is not just a profession but a noble cause to create enlightened society and in turn building a strong nation.  ” Adarsh Balniketan and Islamia Faridia High school are two strongest educational institutions, being run by the two communities with a sole motive to spread education. The teachings of unity,brotherhood and communal harmony has always been an integral part of the curriculum of the institution”,he said.
Tak also emphasized on the need to adopt new method of teaching so as to prepare the children for the competitive world . He said that teaching methods have seen complete change from the last two decades and extra curricular activities have become an integral part of the curriculum.
He said that personality development of the children has to be a key focused area in both private as well as government run educational institutions. He said that the Mufti Mohammad Syed led government has laid special focus on the educational system and the ministry under the leadership of Naeem Akhtar Andrabi has initiated historical measures in order to stream line the education system in Jammu and Kashmir.
