JAMMU, Oct 23: With five more people today testing positive for Dengue virus the total number of patients affected with this vector-borne disease in Jammu region has reached to 102.
According Dr BS Pathania, Director, Health Services Jammu, a total of five persons were today found positive for Dengue virus, adding all of them are male adults.
Giving more details, Dr Pathania said out of these five Dengue affected persons one each belongs to Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Doda and Kishtwar district. “However, none among the infected patients was found to be critical”, he said.
Dr Pathania advised the people not to store water in open utensils and allow stagnation of water in their surroundings, as stagnant water is a breeding ground for Dengue mosquitoes. He also advised the people to prevent themselves from mosquito bites.
