SRINAGAR, Oct 25: A person was killed while two motorcyclists were injured in separate road accidents in Leh and Kulgam districts of the State.
A police spokesman said that a Tipper bearing registration number JK01A-2111 met with an accident at Largyap in Nobra Valley of Leh district, resulting in on spot death of the driver namely Basharat Ahmad Bhat of Doda. “After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said an accident took place between two motorcycles bearing registration number JK03-6938 driven by Manzoor Ahmad Teli and another without registration number driven by Najeeb Bashir Ganie at Baghbal at Damhal Hanji Pora in Kulgam district, resulting in injuries to both of them. “Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman added.
