Cop injured in collision of vehicles

JAMMU, Oct 25: A constable of J&K police was injured today when a police vehicle collided with an Army vehicle on Jammu-Akhnoor road in Batehra area.
According to a police spokesperson, a Tata 407 of J&K Police and an Army vehicle collided this evening at Batehra on Jammu-Akhnoor Road resulting into injuries to Constable Kharak Singh (33) son of late Choor Singh, a resident of Ramban.
He said that the constable was posted at District Police Line Rajouri and was on his way to Rajouri in police vehicle when the Army vehicle coming from opposite side hit his vehicle.
The spokesperson said that the injured cop was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be stable. He said that a case in this connection was registered at police station Kanachak and further investigations are underway.
