KPC, BJP Displaced Unit for settlement of migrants problems

JAMMU, Oct 25: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has urged the Relief Commissioner to have an interaction with the community representatives on various problems being faced by the displaced people.
In a statement issued here, today Kundan Kashmiri president KPC said that there is a lot of resentment among the community members over the piling up issues and due to lack of proper interaction between the Government and community representatives a wedge has been created between the two.
Kashmiri appealed the Relief Commissioner to have a meeting with representatives KP organizations to settle the issues like issuance of ration coupons, RBA certificates, bifurcation of ration cards, allotment of shops and quarters, employment package, release medi claim etc.
He said such interactions will help in smooth settlement of problems and also bring the Relief organization as well as displaced people closer and remove all misgivings and misunderstanding created there in.
Kashmiri also stressed that for issuance of ration coupons the previous system should be adopted. He also stressed on constitution of Apex Committee with representation to camp people as well as non camp migrants in it so that they can project long and short term problems of the community before Government from time to time. Such an Apex Committee should meet once after every two months, he added.
Meanwhile general secretary BJP Displaced Unit Virender Kuchroo urged the Government to settle the problems of the displaced people with out further delay. He said the position of BJP activists has become awkward and they are facing wrath of community as all their issues have piled up for last one year now.
He also demanded that ration coupons be given as per the previous pattern and the community leaders be taken into confidence while taking decisions.
