Army organizes Eye camp for villagers

POONCH, Oct 25: Army today organized an eye camp at 425 Field Hospital under ‘Operation Sadbhavana” for the people of villages close to the line of control.
The camp was inaugurated by Col Vikas Lakhera, Deputy Commander of Poonch Brigade. The camp was organized in collaboration with Pritam Spiritual Foundation, Poonch.
Eye specialist, Maj Shailesh Mogra from 150 GH examined 55 eye patients in the camp out of which 20 have been recommended for cataract surgery with intraocular lens and these patients will be taken for surgery in phase – II. The cataract surgery with intraocular lens will be performed free of cost at 150 GH at Rajouri.
Brig NS Brar, Commander of Poonch Brigade and other civil dignitaries of Poonch were among the dignitaries present at the occasion. Free medicines and food were provided by 425 Field Hospital for the patients.
