JAMMU, Oct 25: The Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sukhnandan Choudhary today kick started macadamization works of road from Baba-da-Talab to Jhiri via Shamachak and Baba-da- Talab to Hari Singh Ghat. Total road length macadamization would be 5.5 kms at a cost of Rs.139.36 lakh.
The Minister directed the concerned officers to ensure strict monitoring of the ongoing works so that quality of works is maintained and the projects are completed within stipulated time frame.
He stressed that roads are vital for development and efforts are on to provide better quality road links in all the areas.
