Notorious criminal booked under PSA

SAMBA, Oct 25: District Police detained a notorious criminal involved in 11 criminal cases under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA), in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Identified as Yudhvir Singh alias Bablu, the criminal is a habitual and notorious criminal, who was involved in 11 criminal cases (five cases in Samba and six in Jammu district), a police officer said adding he was also dealing with supply of drugs to the youth in the two districts.
The officer said that he not only created terror among the peaceful citizens but also disturbed peace and tranquility in the area. He revealed that the Bablu was arrested on September 28 along with a loaded pistol when he was roaming in Vijaypur town in a Swift car having tinted classes and without registration number to assassinate a member of his rival group.
“However, by timely action of Vijaypur police, the murder planned by Bablu was foiled and he was arrested along with weapon”, the officer said adding a case FIR No 63/2015 under Section 3/25 Arms Act was registered in police station Vijaypur against him.
The police officer said that Bablu was also forming a gang of criminals, expanding it and had become a role model for the youth who were interested in indulging in criminal activities.
However, to put an end to his activities, the district police compiled all the police record from various police stations of Jammu and Samba districts, prepared his dossier and got his warrant issued under Public Safety Act (PSA) from District Magistrate.
“After the issuance of detention warrant, Singh (Bablu) was detained under PSA and lodged in jail.
