SRINAGAR: An army jawan was injured today in an encounter with militants in Pulwama district of Kashmir, police said.
The gunbattle broke out at Drabgam after security forces launched a cordon and search operation following information about presence of militants there, a police official said.
He said one army jawan sustained injuries in the exchange of firing between the two sides.
