Decongestion of Baramulla roads: Committee to assess requirements

JAMMU, Oct 26: To assess the requirement of roads for decongestion of the Baramulla Old Town, the State Government has constituted a committee for the purpose.
The five-member committee, headed by District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, shall make recommendations for addressing the critical requirements, which can be completed within a period of two years.
The committee shall identify the shortfalls and  problem areas,  analyze  them  and suggest further course of action/ corrective measures for timely implementation of the scheme as per approved specifications.
The committee shall meet at least twice in a year to review the progress of the scheme and advise the implementing agency for smooth implementation of the same.
Members of the committee, include ADDC Baramulla, SSP Traffic, Rural Kashmir, Superintendent Engineer, PWD (R&B) Baramulla and Executive officers, Municipal Committee Baramulla. The committee shall also invite the MLA Baramulla, as per his convenience, in its meetings.
