JAMMU, Oct 26: Sub-Judge Special Mobile Magistrate Jammu Anjum Ara today awarded one year imprisonment to Amit Gupta, Associate Executive in J&K Bank, his brother Sanjeev Gupta and his mother Chanchala Gupta for harassing wife of Amit Gupta for dowry.
After hearing CPO Javid Ahmed Khawaja with Senior PO Vandana Jamwal appearing for the State, the court observed, “prosecution has proved its case against the accused person beyond any shadow of doubt and it is proved that the complainant was subjected to cruelty both mentally and physically by all accused persons for want of plot and cash”.
With these observations, court awarded one year imprisonment and fine of Rs 10,000 each to the accused persons.
