JAMMU, Oct 28: DPS Jammu organized an ‘Inter-House Rangoli Competition’ in the school premises, today.
The theme of the competition was ‘Festivity’. Students of class VII from all the Houses of the school participated and glorified the event. The students made use of saw dust, holi colours, flowers, diyas and candles.
The Rangoli competition was adjudged by R S Dayal, a well-known artist of State. The Rangolis were judged on the basis of their symmetry, creativity, neatness and presentation. The highlight of the Rangoli was use of eco-friendly and recycled ingredients in the designs.
Jhelum House was adjudged first whereas Ganga House and Yamuna House secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Meenu Gupta, Headmistress DPS Jammu appreciated the efforts put in by the students. She applauded their work which clearly reflected the theme of Festivity. She also encouraged the students to celebrate the festivals by indulging more in such creative and ethnic activities.
R S Dayal also appreciated the work of students and advised them to be cheerful under all conditions.
Ruchi Chabra, Principal DPS Jammu congratulated the winners and wished them for their bright future.
