JAMMU, Oct 28: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice B S Walia today allowed the State to fill up the posts of Assistant Professors and Lecturers.
The direction was passed in an appeal filed by State against the judgment of Writ Court whereby Writ Court had disposed off petitions regarding withdrawal of earlier eligibility qualification of M Phil for under graduate level teaching.
After hearing Advocate General Jahangir Iqbal Ganai with AAG Rakesh Khajuria for the State, DB said that the competent authority is free to undertake and finalize the selection process for the post of Assistant Professor initiated in terms of Notification No. 12-PSC (DR-P) of 2014 dated 29.05.2014. However, while so doing, posts, equivalent to the number of private respondents/ petitioners, reportedly 43 in all, shall not be filled up till further orders.
