CS reviews supply position to Ladakh region

SRINAGAR, Oct 29:  Chief Secretary, B R Sharma today reviewed the supply and stock position to Ladakh region in a meeting, he chaired here.
Chief Secretary received brief on the latest stock position in respect of food grains, petroleum products, LPG, construction material, cattle and poultry feed, timber, firewood, hard coke, medicine, hospital equipment, electric equipment and other material.
In the earlier review meeting, Chief Secretary had set a deadline of October 31 for getting the requisite material into Ladakh. He was informed that most of the material has already been dispatched and has reached the respective destinations and whatever balance supplies remain, shall be reaching Leh and Kargil at the earliest.
Chief Secretary stressed on the District administration of Leh and Kargil to take up the matter with the concerned department, if any delay is observed in supply of the requisite material to their respective districts for further winter stocking.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary also asked Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to monitor and ensure that supplies reach in full within the next few days and any bottleneck or issue with respect to delay in dispatch of material should be reported to him immediately.
