DODA, Oct 29: Keeping in mind the geographical and weather conditions of Chenab Valley Region, State president of All India Students Federation (AISF), Comrade Mukesh Parihar has demanded a separate Board of School Education for this region.
In a statement, Mukesh Parihar said that JKBOSE Jammu was already conducting the examination in the region in two separate phases; one for summer zone and other for winter zone, comprising Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban and some areas of District Udhampur. Further, he added, Chenab Valley Region even does not match with the Kashmir region and therefore it is the genuine demand of the student community of this region in particular and public in general to have a separate Board established here for the smooth conduct of examination upto 12th standard.
Mr Parihar appealed to Minister for Higher Education, Naeem Akhter to consider this genuine demand of the students Federation.
