MAGAM, Oct 31: Chief Justice of the J&K High Court, Justice N. Paul Vasanthakumar today inaugurated the newly constructed court building for the court of the Munsiff Judicial Magistrate at Magam in the presence of Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Syed Basharat Bukhari.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice said with the inauguration of the Munsiff Court building, the long pending demand of non availability of proper court building and other requirements has been addressed in Magam area. The Chief Justice stressed upon the judicial officers for speedy disposal of the cases and giving priority to long pending cases.
Addressing the function, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey said that the building has been constructed at a total cost of Rs 1.59 crore. The building has been completed by the executing agency within a record period of 14 months.
The function was organised by the District Judiciary under the supervision of Principal District Session Judge Mohammad Ibrahim Wani.
The inaugural function was attended by Registrar General High court of J&K M. K. Hanjura, Registrar Vigilance A K Koul, Principal Secretary to Chief Justice Mohammad Yousuf Akhoon, Law Secretary Mohammad Ashraf Mir, DIG Police Ghulam Hassan, Deputy Commissioner Budgam Altaf Ahmad, Chief Engineer R&B Satish Razdan and other officers of the District Administration.
