Jammu, Oct 31: Sports Kits were distributed among youths and the occasion was also utilized for conduct of Police Public Meeting to strengthen the Police -Public relations and to bring people nearer to the Police for better output in prevention and detection of crime and solve the problems of general public.
A meeting on the directions of Uttam Chand, SSP Jammu was held by S. Randheer Singh SP Hqrs. Jammu, alongwith S. Harjeet Singh SDPO R.S Pura, Insp. Bushan Manhas , BPP Incharges Baspur and Agrachak.
The meeting was attended by Sarpanches, Panches, Prominent citizens and youths of the areas Abdullian, Bera, Raipur Sajdah, Choga, Chandu chak, Shamka, Hansu Chak, Baspur, Gopad Basti, Rangpur Malana.
Various public issues and problems raised by the participants were discussed in the meeting pertaining to different departments.
At the conclusion of the meeting sports kits were distributed among the youths of these border areas who were exhorted to participate in sports activities to remain physically active and also to take keen interest in their studies and other co-curricular activities, further to help the police in prevention of drug abuse and social evils in the society.
