November-01, 2015- SRINAGAR: Kashmiri labourers carry boxes containing official records of Jammu and Kashmir states' Civil Secretariat in Srinagar, on Sunday. Jammu and Kashmir is the only state in India where Darbar (government offices of all departments) are shifted bi-annually between two state capitals. The offices remain functional for six winter months in Jammu which is the winter capital of the state and again are shifted back to Srinagar which is state's summer capital during summers. The trend of shifting State secretariat from one state capital to another has been going on in the state since 1872, the era of Maharaja Gulab Singh. Photo/Mohd Amin War
