JAMMU, Nov 1: An unidentified man snatched the gold chain of a middle aged woman in broad day light near busiest KC Chowk area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bus-Stand police station.
As per police sources, a woman namely Sarishta Devi (45), wife of Lal Singh, a resident of Karan Nagar, Udhampur was standing near KC Chowk, when an unidentified man snatched her gold chain.
The lady raised hue and cry, but the accused managed his escape from the spot by foot, due to absence of the cops in the area.
After getting information, police also reached the spot.
A case under FIR Number 57/15 under Section 382 RPC has been registered at Bus Stand police station and hunt has been launched to nab the accused.
