JKMEF demands withdrawal of new duty roster

JAMMU, Nov 2: Criticizing the formation of new duty roster Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) has stressed the Government for its immediate withdrawal in order to carry on the work smoothly.
The demand was raised at all district headquarters of JKMEF including Kathua, Samba, Poonch, Rajouri and Reasi during separate meetings of the association when a deputation of the association led by its president, Sushil Sudan and Vinod Kumar Sharma, secretary general, visited there during 15-day long tour that concluded on October 31.
At all district headquarters the meetings were attended by office bearers of district level and employees of different cadres.
Besides, the demand of withdrawal of new duty roster, the other demands highlighted by the speakers included permanent solution of salary under 2211 Family Welfare Head and creation of posts of LHVs in new PHCs, creation of posts of Block Pharmacy Officer/ District Pharmacy Officer, enhancement of FTA of Basic Health Workers from Rs 45 to Rs 1000 per month, issue of RMP certificate after retirement and conducting of DPC of all Para Medical staff viz Dental, Lab, Opthalmic, X-Ray and other categories including Clerical cadre.
The demands for creation of posts of Head Assistants at Block level and Section Officer in all Old CMO Office, removal of pay anomalies, enhancement of uniform allowance of Nurses and upgradition of their grades, enhancement of wages of employees engaged under HDF at par with daily wagers and change of uniform of ASHA workers also figured in the meetings of the association.
